Bettys Beach is accessed from the South Coast Highway east of Albany and then via Homestead Road and Bettys Beach Road. The route is partially unsealed but is suitable for 2wd vehicles.

There is a (currently) free campsite at Betty's Beach with other nearby campsites being Norman's Inlet and East Bay.

Local authorities warn that the site is not suitable for caravans due to the steep access road but this certainly doesn't seem to deter them from going there.

Facilities include public toilets, bins and a gazebo (located in one of the old shacks.)

Campfires are prohibited at the site all year round and the site may close from February to April as professional fishermen may be using the area.

Activities here include swimming, walking, fishing and 4 wheel driving. Part of the beach is accessible via 4x4 but it is VERY SOFT SAND and as you will note on the video, people can get their vehicles bogged very easily.

This is not a good place to stay during peak season and during long weekends as it becomes very noisy and crowded.

At the time of writing, there are no fees for staying at Betty's Beach and a maximum stay of 7 days is allowed. Charges may be introduced here at some point in the future.

The closest RV black water dump points can be found at Town information bay on Albany Highway (opposite Le Grande Ave) and Amity Quays off Princess Royal Drive (near the Brig Amity).

Betty's Beach was named after Betty Jones who used to go camping and fishing there with her family. As a bit of fun, a friend of the family put up a sign made of driftwood and etched with charcoal from a fire that read "Betty's Bay". The name stuck and the slightly changed version remains today.
