Bell's Rapids is a very popular place to view competitors in the Avon Descent.

The white water event usually takes place near the end of winter (August) each year when the river is at higher levels.

The rapids are located at the end of Cathedral Avenue, Brigadoon.

As the year progresses the water levels drop and eventually the river ceases to flow, although there may still be some pools that contain water.

There are toilets and bins available at the site and plenty of parking but there are few other facilities.

There are some nice walk trails including the 2.5km River Walk and the 3km Goat Walk.

The area is also popular during wildflower season and western grey kangaroos can often be seen.
