Park size: 1,786 Ha.

Located in the heart of the karri forests, Beedelup showcases what the forests of the south west were like before European settlement and logging took place. It is generally a cool, wet environment so visitors need to dress appropriately.

The name is thought to come from an Aboriginal word meaning 'sleep' or 'resting place'.

The main feature of the park is Beedelup Falls but they tend to flow best during the cold wet months of the year so many visitors never get to see more than a trickle of water flowing down the 100 metre high granite outcrop. The falls are bout 300 metres from the car park and a bridge has been built over the creek and acts as a handy viewing platform.

If you are feeling fit then a 4.5 km loop walk is an ideal way to see the park but you can also do shorter sections of the walk if you would prefer something a bit easier on your legs.

The park is located on the Karri Forest Explorer Drive which takes an 85 kilometre route through the southern forests.

When driving along this route you can tune your car radio to 100 FM and get commentary about the places you visit. These will include the Gloucester Tree, the Cascades, the Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree, Warren National Park, and Big Brook Dam.
